Joel Pfeffer is a partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP. He is Chair of the Corporate & Business Law Group and a member of the International Law & Immigration Group. Mr. Pfeffer works primarily in the areas of immigration, nationality and corporate law.

Mr. Pfeffer is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has been a speaker at its National Conference (Estate Planning for Foreign Nationals, 2004; Strategies and Procedures for Immigration Status in the U.S. for Employees of Religious Organizations, 2005). He is past chairman of the AILA Pittsburgh Chapter and the Allegheny County Bar Association Immigration Practitioners Committee. Currently on the AILA National Religious Workers Committee, he has extensive experience in handling immigration and naturalization matters on behalf of both foreign and U.S. based companies, as well as individuals. He has obtained Labor Certification, Temporary Visas, and Permanent Resident Status for numerous foreign applicants. Mr. Pfeffer has also worked with his foreign immigration contacts to facilitate the needs of U. S. citizens and permanent residents seeking work authorization outside the United States.
